ויהי שעמדה..
“And it is this that has sustained”
The word “ויהי” reminds us of this promise. Hashm promised to save us since He knew that we would remain true to Him by studying His Torah and keeping His Mitzvot. The Abarbanel comments that this is hinted in the letters of “ויהי”
ו= ששה סדרי משנה
ה= חמשה חמושי תורה
י=עשרת הדברות
א= השם
It’s only throughout the oral and written Torah that we have a connection with Hashem who in turn is with us through every Galut.
