By Rabbi Aharon Seleh: The Torah tells us the ladies were taught the commandments before the men. Why did they merit being taught first?
The ×¨×‘×™× ×• בחיי explains it’s because the mothers have the power to convince their sons to go learn. She encourages him and talks him into it. The same goes to her husband. If we could look at history, all our gemara is based on the teachings of Rabbi Akiva. Who convinced him to start learning? His wife Rachel. She promised to marry him if he would learn. She is the reason the Torah has been kept alive.
Nowadays if not for school and seminary convincing girls about the beauty of learning, the kollelim would not exist. Lakewood would not exist. Who started all this? One lady. Sarah Schenirer.
In the merit of the ladies we left Egypt, and in their merit we will have the Redemption. Let every lady convince her husband and sons to go learn. Let every lady convince her friends to keep טהרת המשפחה and Shabbat! Let us merit seeing Moshiach very soon.
