You must be wholehearted with HaShem. (Devarim 18,13).
Shalom to all. Rabenu Alshech Hakadosh זצ״ל explains, there are people who keep Torah and Misvot in public, in the community and synagogues, or with family. However, when the person is alone with no one around and watching, he lets his guard down and starts to take it easy. Regarding this the Torah says to us to be wholehearted WITH HaShem. That means when you’re alone with HaShem and nobody is watching…
The Shulhan Aruch writes, “One should not say, ‘I am hidden in the room, who will see me?’ The Blessed One’s glory fills the world†(Orah Hayim 2,2)
Rabbenu Efraim writes:

They have equal numerical values. The message is to try and become wholehearted with HaShem in the month of Elul so that when we reach Tishri, we will have achieved more perfection and berachot from HaShem.
Shabbat Shalom!
